help needed on use of neem oil

ello all. well im going to start spraying my plants with neem oil soon.. i just wanted a little advise... im going to mix say 5ml of nem oil to 1/4 litre of water.. but whats the best way to apply it?? like is it best to spray each individual leave top and underside? or put the spray on fine mist and spray the whole plant?? allso the main thing im worried about is.. when i spray my plants with neem that the light will burn all the wet leaves??? would it be best to spray them like 10-15 mins b4 lights out and would raising the lights while i spray till lights out stop the leaves from burning?? any help would be great:thumbsup:

help needed on use of neem oil

stinky is probably a really good person to ask about neem oil, she is a huge supporter of it! i just started using it though, and what I do is fine mist the whole plant every couple days. if you were to just use it once or twice you would probably want to make sure to get the entire plant in one shot. as for the burning, i am concerned about that too so i move the plants to the bathtub to spray them and let them chill out there til they are mostly dry.

I use neem oil too, I love it. Works great and also gives the leaves a nice shine.

Just spray down the plant really good, top and bottom side of leaves. You don't have to do each leaf individually, just soak that bitch.

Dish soap is the #1 key ingredient in getting your neem oil to apply correctly:

Add as much dish soap as you do neem oil. Dish soap acts as an emulsifying agent allowing you to mix the oil with water much more effectively. It also acts as a spreader/sticker so it will make the leaves nice and evenly wet and won't bead up. Beading up is what causes burns on plants. So remember, if you use 5ml neem oil, use 5 ml liquid dish soap. You should notice a difference immediately in the way the water on the leaves looks compared to normal.

It probably says something about the soap on the bottle, that and the cannabis grow bible is where I learned about using it \\

Also, I noticed that the leaves tend to dry out in like 2-5 minutes after spraying with the dish soap/neem oil mix, and none of mine burned. Mine are right under a 1000 watts of HPS, so if they were gonna burn, they would have done it.

Ditto.. I have 2- 1000w lamps at 18 inches away. Never burned my plants but I pump up my fan for 5-10 mins right after spraying. Never had any burns.
Damn fungus gnats... I only see 1 or 2 but they keep popping up here and there so I need to start spraying again. I add pyrethrins to my mix.

    Peace and love, -Jay
