It has been doen, but it can be dangerous for the fact that it may put out way more CO2 than is necessary and become harmful to human occupunts of your home. If you do this, you would probably need a way to turn the venting outside for two or three reasons. 1. When lights are out you would need to have the CO2 stop comming in the grow room or it would be counter productive and two in the event it is to much you would need to be able to control it and still be able to get the Co2 from your dwelling.
Some honey for thought, hope it helps.

Co2 generator to heat house and enrich grow OK so I might be a little stoned and be way off base here but I am trying to think of a way to run a Co2 generator in the attic, possibly in a box with a top vent for heat. and a port in the bottom for the heavy Co2 to flow down a duct of some sort into a grow room. Maybe using a duct tee to attach the heat vent on the top of the box to the house central heat system. Am I nuts? The advantage would be using the heat for your living space and using the Co2 for your grow. I do not really know Rating: 5
