    Amtrak

I'm soon going to be taking an amtrak train! As I've only been on an amtrak once before in my life ( I think I was around 6 years old ) I was wondering if it would be safe to take just a small amount of weed and a knife in my pocket (the knife is an old pocket knife, it's not THAT big, easy to conceal, and I usually carry it everywhere), or do they do some sort of check or something of the sorts. Thanks!

I've taken the metrolink (cheaper version) and there was no sort of check at ALL. They don't even check your tickets till after the train starts moving so there isnt a big delay. But i don't recommend not getting a ticket, cause you'll be fined. You'll be okay.

Same here I had quarter of purple in my suitcase that I was gonna take with me to Michigan and here they never check the suitcases or anything but was still a little tense cause there were some gaurds that had dogs with them but after I got on the train everything was cool.

have fun! ive read recently that passanger trains nowadays kinda suck. especially amtrak. they are always late. usually by a few hours. mainly because of the new security risks for passenger trains because of recent train bombings in other countries.
