Well, it is your brother, not your son. He's more your parent's responsibility than he is yours. If he wants to try pot, let him try it with his friends. Better he get busted alone, then for him to get busted and take you down with him. That's just my :twocents:.

I see where you're coming from. But i'd rather get caught WITH him rather than him end up in a fucked up situation which could be a lot worse. Hes my BROTHER, not just some friend.

I would say yes only if he was exceptionally mature which I gurantee he probably isn't. Hes just under the bar of what I would consider a smoking age to be. At 13 you are still pretty much a child,just wait till hes started highschool and gotten into the groove a little.

He might just get totally into the stoner way of life like some young guns do and never try any other cliques or groups

yo i'd wait until you know he's not going to tell all of his friends he smoked pot with his brother. I'd joke about it for a while, i.e. like if he's with some friends while youre home, address them with "what are you stoners up to." I'd wait til he's 13 and in 8th grade really.

Good reasons to say yes:

1. You are not being a hypocrite.
2. He's not putting himself at risk of dealing with a bad supplier, if he is able to go thru your supplier.
3. If he gets in trouble about something, he'll tell you, instead of lying to you. The ability to call someone older in a bad situation without the fear of getting reamed out for it keeps kids safer.
4. Kids should gain a sense of self-efficacy early on and he's old enough to make his own decision on this one, until proven otherwise.

Okay so. My brother and his friend come in my room to get his playstation, and he wants to show his friend my "cool beanie" ( the kind with the ear flaps ). He picks it up and my piece falls out... He giggles and i grab it and put it in my lap,then they leave. He comes back a few seconds later and says "Don't worry I won't tell.*giggles*" Then he says "Let me have some,c'mon, let me have some tomorrow!" and does a hand motion of smoking out of a pipe. Only problem is hes fucking 12..almost 13& is in 7th grade. I know some people started smoking then, I started when i was 13& in 8th grade, but i just think its too young for him. So i'm thinking NO, but at the same time...if he is so quick to say he wants to smoke, hes probably going to do it anyway. And i'd much rather him smoke in my room with me, from my stash, my supervision, and just safely..

We've had "drug talks" before because i knew middle school is when i started, and i always told him to talk to me if he ever thought about any kind of drug.

What do you guys think i should do?

I really think you should talk him into waiting 1 year, MAYBE talk him into waing 2 years..


But, if he does smoke, it's better he smokes with you..





Also, if he get's busted, TAKE THE BLAME FOR HIM.. It's better that way.

I would definatly take the blame as my mom knows i smoke,(she thinks ocassionaly).
