Identity theft...
Lol, that's a bit of terrible logic there.
The punishment wouldn't fit the crime, let alone YOUR crime. It's just the ultimate scapegoat.
Why should someone be forced to repay any outstanding debts that aren't theirs? They should be forced to serve time for THEIR crime, but not replace more than what was taken. Any more and it's unnecessary and excessive, not to mention cruel. It's a case-by-case basis.
Emotions tend to get in the way of things like this, but if you think about it, the victim might be looking for any easy way out of debt, when in reality, there is none. Except for death. Its a Plant Reviewed by Its a Plant on . Identity theft... I'm sure there are people out there who have tried to steal someones identity like mine... Where they wouldn't even get a 50 dollar credit card in my name. I have bad credit. Now my feeling is, if someone ever attempted to steal my identity and was caught, he/she should than legally be responisble for my debt. Not just the fucked up shit they cause, but they should also be responisble for all the shit the other person has done. Did the man who's identity you stole kill a man? Congratulations, Rating: 5
