Talk To Frank.. Anti Cannabis Advert
I don't know if talktofrank.com is around in the US of A but its one of the major drug help lines and information centres in the UK about drugs...
They recently released an Anti-Cannabis advert on TV and also a longer version on thier website, I know it is exaggerated a lot but it still makes me uneasy about what I'm doing to my mental health, it just plays on my mind.

CAnnabis doesnt cause any mental health problems, and that was proved in an experiement that was trying to prove that it DOES. Canabis can show a mental health problem, but cant cause it.
And cannabis users are significantly less likely to ever become depressed, even though cannabis is classed as a depressant.
It's a joke, it's bias, and it's made for the morons who belive it, and for god sake, dont let yourself become one of them.
Nothing on that advert is true, dont belive it.

I didn't even click on the link. As far as I'm concerned, only one person can tell you to smoke or not, I don't have any negative side effects from smoking and my day just overall works better if I've smoked. I will go a day here and there without toking and I realize that I'd rather smoke than not. I'm the same person, just a little more leveled out after blazing. I get all my work done and any issues I have, do not concern smoking, I'm still intellegent and I still put all of my effort into my job when I'm there. Sorry, but nobody lives much longer than a century anyways, I'll contininue smoking and not worry about what people may say, they don't know me, but I do.

Cannabis doesn't make you puke.. in fact in the opposite...
god, morons, do some research
"With stronger strains of cannabis than ever before"
wtf? ok please cannabis hasn't gotten stronger, again, if we had gov't research people wouldn't be so blind.
Cannabis isn't for everyone, but telling people lies (or unverified facts, even if you think its for the best) isn't the way to handle it.

I do admitt it's very very exagerated. I believe that the 'With stronger strains of cannabis' comment is in reference to skunk, and if so it's true to a certain extent.
Anyway, I just thought I would share it with you guys and most of your replies have put my mind at easy... still it's pretty funny, I think the main actor (shop owner.. old guy, weird smile) is very very scary, if I met him in real life I would quit cold turkey never mind get a new brain![]()

I'd probably put him out of his misery and kill him.
And really, the stronger strains thing is true, because we have better ways of growing it these days, but thats a good thing, because it's means less smoking, and thats the heath side to cannabis, even though it's been proven there is no direct link between heavy cannabis use and lung cancer.

Hah, that commercial was pretty funny, really long.
And why do they keep playing on the fact that weed is stronger? Like lip says, that means we'll smoke less of it, and do less damage to our lungs. Obviously we don't want that.
But you're going to die if you smoked anyway, so what's it matter if there's less damage to your lungs, right?

Let's do some revising...
Cannabis - The most widely used illegal drug in the world. It's a natural plant that has been grown for centuries. It can cause a sedative like feeling for certain types of cannabis, and an energetic, goofy feeling from other types. It's rediculously overpriced, and should be legalized.Cannabis - The most widely used illegal drug in Britain. It's a naturally occurring drug made from parts of the cannabis plant. It's a mild hallucinogen and often gives sedative like effects that make some people feel chilled out and others feel sick. It's not very expensive and widely available.
I don't even know where half those names come from. I like the ones that make them clearly ignorant. Bhang Northern Lights, resin, sensi, sinsemilla, shit(wtf?), skunk (nobody called actual weed skunk or NL), spliff, wacky backy, zero... Afghan, moroccan?!! I guess they are weed terms but nobody calls weed that. They refer soap to schwagg so I guess it's legit.ID: Bhang, black, blast, blow, blunts. Bob Hope, bush, dope, draw, ganja, grass, hash, hashish, hemp, herb, marijuana, pot, puff, Northern Lights, resin, sensi, sinsemilla, shit, skunk, smoke, soap, spliff, wacky backy, weed, zero. Some names are based on where it comes from... Afghan, homegrown, Moroccan etc
I'd take hash over grass anyday man.Grass is usually more expensive than resin (hash).
Isn't that good?Others get the giggles until the muscles in their face hurt.
THATS BECAUSE YOU ASSHOLES MADE IT ILLEGALEven hardcore smokers can get anxious, panicky and suspicious.Damn.
Drunk Driving > Driving High, not =. Most high people are also able to think, they don't drive home if they know they can't.It affects your coordination, which is why drug driving is just as illegal as drink driving.
[align=left]"Although marijuana, when used to intoxication, does impair performance in a manner similar to alcohol, actual studies of the effect of marijuana on the automobile accident rate suggest that it poses LESS of a hazard than alcohol. When a random sample of fatal accident victims was studied, it was initially found that marijuana was associated with RELATIVELY as many accidents as alcohol. In other words, the number of accident victims intoxicated on marijuana relative to the number of marijuana users in society gave a ratio similar to that for accident victims intoxicated on alcohol relative to the total number of alcohol users. However, a closer examination of the victims revealed that around 85% of the people intoxicated on marijuana WERE ALSO INTOXICATED ON ALCOHOL. For people only intoxicated on marijuana, the rate was much lower than for alcohol alone. This finding has been supported by other research using completely different methods. For example, an economic analysis of the effects of decriminalization on marijuana usage found that states that had reduced penalties for marijuana possession experienced a rise in marijuana use and a decline in alcohol use with the result that fatal highway accidents decreased. This would suggest that, far from causing "carnage", legal marijuana might actually save lives."

Fuck off. Some people think that because cannabis is a plant it is harmless, but that's not true.
A true study taken right out of their ass. I'd post a real study but theres just so much information i'd have to make 2 posts.Cannabis, like tobacco, has chemical 'nasties' which can cause lung disease and cancer with long term or heavy use. Cannabis can make asthma worse.
It's also estimated that about 10% of americans (idk about other countries really) have "addictive personalities" which may cause then to be hooked. Cannabis is no more addictive than sugar or chocolateIt's estimated that about 10% of users are hooked on cannabis.
What the hell, if you put tobacco in your joints that means... YOU'RE A TOBACCO SMOKER! Does this have anything to do with herb?!If you smoke it with tobacco you can get hooked on the tobacco.
I will admit you probally shouldn't smoke if you are pregnant, but...Frequent use of cannabis can cut a man's sperm count and suppress ovulation in women. If you are pregnant, smoking cannabis may harm the baby.
"A neww study by Dr. Robert Block at the University of
Iowa disputes the commonly held notion that marijuana alters
the level of testosterone and other sex hormones.
The study contradicted a widely publicized 1974 study
by Dr. R.C. Kolodony, which reported decreased testosterone
levels in men who smoked marijuana chronically.
The U. of Iowa study found that chronic marijuana use
had no effect on testosterone, luteinizing hormone, follicle
stimulating hormone, prolactin and cortisol in men or women.
Noting that six other studies had failed to show
lowered testosterone levels in men, Dr. Block concluded: "It
appears that marijuana, even heavy use of the kind that's
typical in the United States, doesn't alter testosterone levels."
However, he cautioned that heavy use might have other
adverse effects, including "possible effects on reproductive
function and mild, selective cognitive impairments associated "
with heavy, chronic use."(source: http://www.erowid.org/plants/cannabi...s_myth16.shtml)
No... I've heard of junkies who are on meth and heroin. Do you ever find "dope heads" hangin on the streets? Are there any hobos that say they got there because of dope? Thanks for more lies :thumbsup:Most people will know of a 'dope head' who has dropped out of the real world.
There are some out there who need it to relieve pain (includin my buddy Lip here). Sending someone to jail because they finally found a way to deal with their pain without anal leakage (or any other gay side effects from pharmecudicals).Using cannabis to relieve pain
Possessing cannabis is an offence whatever you're using it for.
Sorry about that, just had to set everyone straight :rasta:
