yeah but think about it this way... the whole time you're paying for xbox live, after purchasing the system, you're going to end up paying just as much as the person who went with the ps3 and get their connection for free... and it's service sucks because you have to pay for it, there's absolutely no reason why playstation can offer free connection, while xbox can't, they just want to milk you for every penny and they are... that's just why i hate xbox live, i have even more reasons why i hate xbox period...

The service is only good because you have to pay for it, what you said is contridicting in a wierd reversed way...who knows, maybe PlayStation offers a free online service because the the system is $600! You could think of it this way, you could buy the premium ($400) xbox 360 system + 4 years of xboxlive gold member subcription($200) for the price of one PlayStation 3. Xbox live offers downloaded demos, HD game trailers, HD movie trailers, xbox live arcade to download and even play them through xbox live, plus more. All the PlayStation 3 offers only a friend list per-game that switches for each game, lame. Xbox live will be offering tv shows and HD movies to download to your harddrive pretty soon here as well...

Now I didn't want to get into this debate, but with you not stating any good points, for example "..it sucks because you have to pay for it" I had to do it.

You're both retarded. First off, what the fuck is a "wifi port"? That is rhetorical, wifi is wireless, you don't understand electronics, etc, etc.

Second off, XBOX live is a huge fuckin operation. They spend hundreds of thousands per month on it, and I would not be surprised if they loose money on it every month.
Normally I would agree that them charging you for it is bullshit, but look at how PS2 online turned it... truly horrible.

The problem with free accounts is that you are basically not accountable for your actions. When your first account gets shitty ratings, just make another, it's free! I mean, they could tie your reputation/etc to the console, but then what if you want to sell it? The new buyer has to deal with your rep and your stats? That sucks.

Another problem is that people will play a matchmaking game, get good at it, then create a new account and just pwn noobs. This happened in Halo 2, where people would get bored playing other level 40s and just make a new account, ripping level 5s etc apart. It really sucked to be in a game and just get destroyed by one person. If that was a problem when accounts were $50 (well less if it's a 2 month or 3 month, but you get the point), it is going to be awful with free accounts.

M$ is not "nickel and diming" you, and trust me, I hate them more than you. Just because Sony is willing to take a hit for you doesn't mean M$ is ripping you off.

I really hope that was a joke. I mean, I'm all up for gore and violence, I love Silent Hill and similar games, but goddamn, those nintendo games are fun and you're probably just being to macho to admit it.

Most of my favorite games are First Person Shooters or Real Time Strategy. I don't like those lame FPS games though, the ones where you have ridiculous weapons and shit. I like Call of Duty, Black Hawk Down, and those kinds of shooters.

Tenchu also provided me with hours and hours of entertainment. Sneaking up on people and cutting their throats rocks!

I bought Rome: Total War. But my video card isn't good enough to play the game.

Maybe I'll buy myself a new video card for christmas.
