IIRC, the EEPROM gets banned, they can buy a new physical eeprom and desolder the old one, and resolder the newone, but cheaters are little kids, not modders. They can buy 256bytes from an eeprom for about $10, softmod their boxen and put on the new eeprom, unlokc/relock the hard drive with the new key, and then go on live again, but like I said before, very few cheaters are skilled enough/willing to do this. If they have a chipped xbox, it will take them about $10 and 5 minutes to get a new eeprom, if they are a cheater with a chipped box they might do that.

But for the most part once cheaters get banned, they stop cheating.

I totally agree with you about it being stupid, but that doesn't mean it won't happen. $50 is a decent amount of cash to throw around, they will do it once, maybe twice. When it's free, they can do it whenever they want, and I really think this is going to be a problem.

Yeah the Wii came out, and there were hundreds of thousands more Wii's than PS3's around.

WiFi is wireless TCP/IP, aka wireless internet.
Bluetooth is mainly used in cellphones, it's not designed for TCP/IP (internet), it's shorter range and kinda low bandwidth.

why do i have idiots biting my ass because of what i feel... i'm sorry, sony has proven themselves worthy of being in the gaming community, xbox? has one damn famous title ONE! UNO! no more, halo and that's it.. and i'll be damned if i'm going to pay for an xbox, games, internet, THEN HAVE TO PAY A SUBSCRIPTION FEE to play online, tell me one single way xbox live is any different OR BETTER then ps online? and i don't mean what the games online offer, just the connection... it's not any faster, it's not any better, there are more than likely just as many glitchers on xbox as ps... so what makes it so much better, the only diffrence i see is you have to pay for it, which makes it fucking plain out suck.. why pay for something when you can get it for free.. besides, like i said, xbox has one famous title and that's it, sure there are games that are 'famous' that are on all the major systems, but that's not an xbox exclusive game... to me, the years it's been out, and the games they have for it, are a direct example of the quality of the system cuz we all know a system isn't anything without games...

as for the wii, i'm anintendo hater sue me, i also think it's stupid that this whole system was built around a controller, a new concept of a controller... i bet you it offers nothing more than game cube, or n64 has offered before.. like i said, a system is shit without the games to go with it, a nd nintendo as you can see what i quoted, produces shitty kiddy games... what have they had so far as a real game? golden eye and it's sister, perfect dark? oh yeah, i have the same argument because that's, in my opinion the strongest argument that can be made about the system, the controller design is less than crappy.... and has anyone even begun to think of how limited the games will end up being because of how the controller works? just wait a couple of years... the only two systems that will have any real debate in the entire gaming issue is xbox and ps, Wii just fails miserably, ok so it's a great console for kids, more than 50% of games and game systems sold are sold for adults, or soon to be adults... not kids...

as for how many ps3's there are and shit, as said a few posts above me, yeah i know, i think it was a dumb idea on their side to release just so many and cause such an uproar, of course it makes everyone want to rush out and get their hands on the ps3 cuz they don't know when they'll have the chance again, but overall it was just a dumb idea.... they should have waited til they could put more in every store... but then again, they may have just put out so many to detect any problems with it they need to fix before a full fledged release... i remember when 360 FIRST came out, nearly everyone that got their hands on one, was returning it within a few days... maybe sony just wanted to make sure the system held up ok before they released everything they had..

Chill man, I'm not trying to be a dick, the thing that sucks about the internet is that when you say "retard" everyone assumes you are malicios, there is no body language or tone of voice online. It's not a typo, a type is like "teh". You said that sony is nickel and diming people by including "6 wifi ports". You obviously though that a) wifiports are expensive b) 6 wifi ports is excessive c) wifi ports exist. If you had just said "wifi ports" and not used it to criticize sony, I wouldn't have called you a retard. You're a retard because you tried to criticize sony with something ridiculous even in theory.
