Well if you have some one else with "better" results at the same stage as you then maybe your lights need to be a bit closer? What is the wattage of your light? And yeah, you should give them atleast 3 more weeks. You'll be glad you did .

Also about your post above you shouldn't try to judge by hairs. It's not the hairs that you really would want to keep up on, you want to keep up on the health of the trichomes. Even though the hair colors do play a part of telling how old the plant is, I think you have enough weeks to wait to judge by the trichomes when you get your microscope.
