Selling an ounce in grams, yes, means more money, but that is 28 trips a day a person takes, or 28 different people coming in and out. It's a bigger risk for small profits, that's all I'm saying.

There are people who hang around Stanley Park who do sell g's and dimes, but in the long run, paying by the gram is just not the way to go. If I were to buy g's for $10 each, is what they are here, that would cost me $280, with 28 trips. If I buy an ounce, with one trip, cost me $170, that's the smart way to shop, and taking 28 trips a day or having 28 visitors a day, is a total heat score for such small profit.

Not worth it, like I said, leave it the corner dealers and kids to sell small amounts.
Vancouver's population is still not nearly as large as many other urban areas.. the New York metropolitan area has a population of 18.7 million people. Vancouver's metropolitan area is 2 million.. so that is a huge difference. Population plays a HUGE part here, so thats why you get to pay so little per ounce, and its rare that individual sales are made.

Around here, 28 trips really isn't that much because of how many people there are here that are smoking weed. It is more common for kids of course, but "kids" make up the majority of the drug trade. Not to mention a lot of sales will be 3/$50 type deals, so it goes a lot quicker. On top of that, lets say someone picks up an ounce for $300.. they only need to sell 15 bags to completely make their money back AND end up with a quarter for free! So most dealers that live in the right areas for it will jump at the opportunity to make individual sales. But if there arent as many people smoking, and the prices are low then yeah it doesent pay.
