Pruning/Sideshoot question

Hey, on my WW plant the sideshoots are quite long, its 1 1/2 weeks into flowering cycle and its flowering now. The sideshoots stretch 2 nodes up, touching the fan leaves. (this is on the next set on that side).
should i remove those fan leaves for extra light cos they have flowers on?
And if i do will this fuck my plant up cos its into flowering.
Also i was thinking could i tied these side shoots straight out of the plant and make them come out of the plant and then grow up as little colas. This could be an alternitive from chopping the fan leaves, or i could do both.
any ideas?

Just tuck the fans beneath the lower branches. Always keep tucking the older, darker leaves beneath the new green shoots.

^ Yeah, dont cut anything. Cutting it with shock it, and stunt it's growth, and cause stress in flowering, which could possibly turn them hermie, it probably wouldnt turn them hermie, but still you dont wanna shock them and stunt the growth.

So tyin them 'out' isnt a good idea? I thought it would be kinda like LST.

Well, you can do anything to maxamise the amount of direct light they get. The fan leaves need to get light, but they wont produce bud, so all the secondry grow should be getting the more of the light.

You could tie them out, but it depends on the lights you have, if you are using flouros i would only tie them out if you can get a light closer to them, whereas if you have a hps light, you could do it regardless, like lip said its all about balancing light, fan leaves need it, but not as much as new shoots... good luck..

You could tie the whole plant so the main stalk is at a slight angle.
Or you could remove the low side buds, NOT the fans, so the plant focuses all its energy on massive top buds. Use the side shoots for propagation!
