Yes, it would be nice if he told his parents and he should look up the law on property confiscation in his state, but reality is reality. He's a kid! He is going to grow no matter what anyone says! So lighten up a bit, give him some info so he WON'T screw things up! You sound like you've "been there, done that". So how about some positive feedback for the kid?
