Here's a link for you, Aeon, in case you want to read it and show it to your dad. It is an uncommon cancer, but you're right in the precise age group of young men who get that, as is THCBongman and, no doubt, XCrispi's friend, too, and that's why anyone your age needs to be checked if there's anything unusual going on down there. Can't be too careful with the " 'nads," as my son would say.

All men ought to get in the habit of doing monthly testicular self-exams, which, like monthly breast exams for women, are easier to do in the shower when you're soapy and wet because that slickness heightens your ability to feel lumps or unusual swollen places.
Is your doctor a man or a woman, Aeon? Whichever it is, be prepared for him to palpate the area with his/her hand. Good luck, and please keep us updated on what you find out!

I'm fully aware of the fact my doctor (which is a man) is going to have to palpate my manly bits. and its a very unpleasant thought, but i'm not the only one who's had to go through it. it's going to be a very awkward experience...but i'll just do my best not to make eye contact with him, and hope it doesnt take too long. i just hope its nothing serious above all.

He'll be very discreet about it, I promise. Remember, they've seen and felt everything, so nothing seems awkward or unusual about that exam to the doc. He'll put you in a reasonably warm room and will also warm his hands/gloves before he touches you. I hope it's nothing serious, too!

Well. I don't have cancer. It's just some kind of minor infection and they've put me on anti-biotics. But no opiate painkillers, much to my disappointment. oh well.
