Legal age to ENTER a headshop?

I moved to a shitty area, nothing really around me and i actually found a headshop. When i walked inside he asked how old i was, i'm 17 and he asked if i left. Before entering there was a cop car parked outside of some weird fastfood next door. Im thinking that was it..or the dude was in a bad mood?

Do you really have to be 18 to just enter?
They had such a big collection too

Nah... when I was under 18 I used to go into headshops. You just can't buy tobacco. But you can enter--there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to enter. It's not like a strip club or something.

actually i think that is the rule.. not 100% but i know that in some places, they have a you must be 18 to enter sign.. and there are all kinds of bongs and shit...

Agreed, for all they know i can be turning 18 in a few days and wanted to think about what i was going to get or something. He asked both of us, maybe he wanted at least 1person to be 18 so if the cops outside wanted to walk in? I dont know. I'm gonna go back in a bit and check it out again. Kinda sucked

theres a headshop near me thats the same way its in NY but i live in MA

My local headshop has two floors. First floor is just t-shirts, posters, a display case of papers and bluntwraps, salvia, etc.

Upstairs is where they keep all of the pipes, bongs, an hookahs. You have to present ID to even go upstairs, but they never give you shit for the first floor.

Also, I've been into a different shop and was never asked for my age and i showed the guy what spoon i wanted, he handed me it, i handed it to my friend right in front of him, and my friend bought me it.(hes 18) I really hope this place isn't that strict
