Booze is really bad, if your not careful and alot of people arent careful therefore alot of people get hurt.

Hemp can be processed and made into fuel making us less dependent on oil equaling lower profits for them.

cigarettes and alcohol are both legal because they are addictive. The goverment keeps raising the price of tax on these because people will keep buying them no matter what.

remember prohibition, maybe you never heard about it. it was this time when they tried to outlaw alcohol and it just made it more popular than ever and created ganglords and murderers. good idea though seriously.

just because other drugs are illegal that shouldnt be doesnt mean they should start putting stupid morality laws in place and taking away the few that are legal

I also think alcohol is a very dangerous drug. How many of you and your friends can think of a time that weed was dangerous to you. I am sure you can think of a hell of a lot my times you have seen or experienced bad things while drinking.

Here's a few examples:

Drinking has put me in hospital on a drip for the night.
1 of my mates who is a really relaxed guy when sober hit his mum while drunk.
Mates have been arrested for drunk and disorderly behaviour.
My best mates friend broke my best friends nose when drunk. He got a matching 1 when I found out but that another story.
Everyone has been sick at 1 point while drinking.

I have never been sick when toking never ended up in jail or hospital because of weed. I get smoked weed into the early hours and still get up for work. WHen drinking you can feel shit for the whole day after drinking.

LOL. You didnt know HEMP can be processed into oil? I can safely say that when the oil runs out, we'll start using hemp for fuel, clothing, and all sorts, just like we did before those bastards made it all illegal. [Well, not illegal, but started controlling it more.]

Well saying that legalizing marijuana for recreational use which is what most people here want doesn't mean that in doing so it will hurt oil business. Yes hemp can be turned into fuel but there are other alternative fuels out there that are legal but they aren't really interferring with oil in America. Hemp has loads of potential but it just can't be seen.

I don't buy the whole "it's illegal because of money" argument.

It's actually in the best interest of established corporations that weed be legal, because they are the ones in position to corner the market as soon as it opens.

The simple fact is that the day weed becomes legal, corporations will immediately go into the hemp production business and multiply their fortunes. They will also go into the medical and recreational MJ businesses and dominate those too.

Weed is illegal because of a very long and very successful propaganda campaign which has convinced the majority of voters that it's a bad drug.
