My father's jewish, and i've been told ur mother has to be jewish for it to be passed down, but either way, i was brought up catholic..

That is true. A baby born to a Jewish mother and a non Jewish father is automatically considered Jewish. Not so with just a Jewish father.

But, I'm sure you get the best of both worlds. I hope you do. Passover at the dads parents?
