oh yeah....i forgot.....to answer some things that were mentioned..

1. you are only jewish if your mother is jewish..it is fathers name mothers blood, by jewish law..and not only that, but you have to convert if your mom isnt jewish and are the lowest on the caste scale as there are 3 levels of jews and your level distinguishes your honours and priviledges within the synagogue..

2. why do people think you have to look a certain way to be a jew? i have seen lots of christians with big noses and dark curly hair..i have seen blonde hair and blue eyed jews..i think people confuse this with sabra's, or israeli's, who have these features, which are regional really..

Some people are offended by Ali G/ Borat [Sacha Baron Cohen] because they think he's being racist, infact, he's highlighting important faults in todays sociaty, which is that they're is still racism in this world, and by doing that, he's seeing if the people he's with are racists... Like the scetch in country signing place... all those people joined in, i dont know weather they thought it was a joke or not, but Sacha Baron Cohen is funny, and also Jewish.

I'm Jewish. I'm not that religious though.
Smoking with really religious Jews, is the funniest, and most fun thing ever. One time, I was with these orthodox Jews and we got so baked and went to synogogue, it was great.

That's an easy one...as Jamstigator said...Racism. But, --and this is probably going to piss a lot of Jewish people off, but oh well..--racism on both sides of the battle. Take it back to biblical times and think about the situation. The Zionist belief was that they were 'God's Chosen People' and if you weren't a Jew, you were a dog. (remember from Sunday School Jesus asking the sumarian woman why he should heal a dog?)

That attitude tends to piss your neighbors off. Not that their neighbors were any less guilty of course. But when you're a little sect surrounded by other races being referred to as dogs and heathens, it's not exactly the most diplomatic attitude to have for peaceful coexistence.

Hell, up until recently all races were racists. (and I'm still worried about our ability to overcome it). It's what binds groups together as groups, but it's what leads to clashes. The 'Us and Them' thing always leads to conflict and hatred...whether it's racial, economic, religious, social or political.

Generally Jews keep to themselves and their familys. They have over the years generated their own customs to the point where they alienate non-jews, that's why people generally hate them. Nobody needs an excuse like they killed Jesus because nobody except the religious sect really gives a shit. It comes down to interpersonal connections and being able to relate to people that you share very little in common with. Its very hard to relate to Jewish people because they treat everyone else with such disregard. Obviously there are exceptions but generally history speaks true about that I've stated about. You can put it down to jelousy or just plain hatred or whatever but in my opinion that's just blissful ignorance.

I'm a jew I have many non-jews friends. Your sterotyping my friend. Some very very very religious Jews, are all shut off from society thats it.
