ab is right... you're bass ackwards.

for veg, use GE daylight tube flourecents. i love these and i'll never use anything else again!! these are 6500k (blue spec) 40w 3050lum ea.

for flower, you need warm or soft white, which is the yellow spec (2700-3000k) try soft white cfl's (at LEAST 23w) or kitchen and bath floro's. both will work wonderfully. you'll need 2 or 3 cfl's per plant, i use 48" floro tubes and cfl's, just added an hps. though, you have limited space, so go with the cfl's. you can wire these in series, 6 23w per outlet.

kindprincess Reviewed by kindprincess on . blue spectrum cheaply???????? im wondering if any1 can help me. at the min i an using cfl's and in about the first week of flower (w.widow) i dont see much happening now i no blue spectrum is best?? does any one no if i can use those lights for pets such as turtles and snakes as those pets need to bask in the sun all day and thay are blue spec. it would be a cheap way of achiving blue spectrum as my grow box has limited space and HPS is out of the question please help if you have any info as this is my first grow that i Rating: 5
