In Denver, an Oz or less of marijuana is legal under city ordinance (initiative 100) but state law still forbids marijuana, an Oz or less is still a petty offense with no jail time and a fine of upto $100. This past election many people were fighting to pass amendment 44 to legalize marijuana statewide in Colorado, but it didn't pass. Not to say that Mason Tvert and the S.A.F.E.R. organization didn't do a great job getting amendment 44 on the ballot and gaining about 40% of the voters at election time. We will get legalization on the ballot agian in 2 years and this time will work harder on getting it the amendment passed and legalize ganja for the entire Rocky Mountain State.
