Am I getting ripped My dealer has some bubblegum and it is wicked dank, but he wants to sell me a quarter for $120 usd and I think this is rediculous but I wanted to see what you guys thought and if you have any suggestions on what I should do. He keeps complaining about how much he had to spend to get it. He is a good guy but I just think this price is too steep. Rating: 5

That is such a ripoff. I don't care what peoples prices are in their areas, that is a ripoff for 7 grams. You know how much it cost for a grower to grow 7g's? Not $120, I can tell you that much.

So, technically, I could sell an ounce for $10 and make 100 percent profit. But if I got caught, well, that could cost me five years of freedom, and would probably cost five or ten grand in legal fees even if I avoided the prison time. What price does one put on such risks? Apparently pretty close to $400/ounce.

Yea agreed, people are paying for the risk of someone growing, which technically probably isn't enough.

I would sell my ounces for $150, no more, no less. If you can't afford ounces, move on then because IF I did sell, it would be no less than ounces. Why? because I said so, that's why.

I would draw the line at that price because fulls here are $170, sell for $20 or even $40 cheaper, and you get all the competitions business. A good dealer will slightly lower the price of the common price, to get all of the customers.

I just think a dealer selling 7g's of smoke for $120 is way too much. The way I see it, these dealers who buy a QP of high quality smoke for lets say, $1000, sells each 1/4 for $120 and makes $1920, that's a $920 profit right there, which is almost 100% of the original price. I know there is profit to be had, but people need to keep it in reason. I'm guessing these dealers don't get a lot of customers selling at prices like that, and they would get more business lowering the common price range for that area.

That's how I see it anyways. Profit must be made, but keep it in reason.

$150/ounce is actually what I offered the guy who buys my excess, but he said he couldn't pay me that little, and insisted on $200/ounce. And hey, who am I to complain about that. He then turns around and sells it for $100/quarter, and his customers (most of whom are also my friends) are all happy with that price. If I *did* let him buy it for $150/ounce (if he'd even let me) then I'd be making $150 an ounce minus expenses, and he'd be making $250/ounce. To be fair, he does have more risk of getting caught than me, but if I DID get caught, my punishment would likely be far more severe.

That's the problem with lowballing prices: you sell primo stuff for $25/ounce or whatever, it will still probably cost the last person in line $400/ounce anyway. The difference is, instead of you making much, it's the middlemen making most of the money that way, even though they're doing far less work, and if caught, their punishment would be less.

Depends how much the average price is in your area. A Q of any KB will run between 100 and 125 here. Based on my prices it is the highest I have paid for weed and have seen a few dealers selling at that price. I usually only pay it when I can't find anybody else to buy from though.
