take everything out of the pen so its hollow:

take the metal tip of it (>) turn in around so it looks like this <

put it in one of the open pen sides and push it down hard. (don't jam it down all the way so the whole metal tip is in the pen, just as far as you can get it should be good)

use your lighter to melt the plastic pen to the metal tip

your end result should look something like this :
