I did a little looking around at PC grows but nobody really went into detail on how they hooked up to the mains power. So i was just enquiring.
I looked at the link you posted, there was a great idea mentioned (which was a initial thought) although there was no reply on how they connect the cpu fans to a PSU without using the motherboard. I will look around for anymore information or guides on it, although can others also post their thoughts on if there is a way to connect a CPU fan to a PSU bypassing a motherboard.

Dude i'm not getting on your case or anythin but in that thread it's mentioned like twice, that's why i posted it, to help you out man....i knew what you where asking bro If you do a search for 'pc fan' there is tons of threads on how to wire them up, but as BB said, just use a 12v adapter.

Just wish someone would help me out (see below)
