Would this setup work?
I thought it would be nice to seal the upper part and keep fan/ducting in there but I'm not sure on the ducting and do 'Inline' carbon filters actually exist?
Either two passive inlets would have ability to close off so in cold weather air could come from just the house and not outside.
New to this, any help appreciated.

P.S NOT to scale! The GR is certainly not nearly as big as the house, in fact it is only to hold 3 plants!tripleblack Reviewed by tripleblack on . Would this setup work? Thanks for the response guys but a conflict in opinions leaves me non the wiser. Mer_de^Vert i am not in this to make any money and if i were your estimate is way out.
So midlifecrisis inline carbon filters like the one in my diagram exist, do you have any links as to where i can find them???????????????

Thanks for the reply crisis but i think you're missing my point.
In my diagram the upper section will be seperate from the growroom and sealed airtight. I wanted to keep fan and carbon filter in here. For this i would need the carbon filter inline as the diagram shows.
I am yet to see a set up like this and i can only presume that it can't be done as the air needs to be pulled through the 'sides' of the filter instead of through the end like i would need it to.
anyone?

the filter is either the first part or the last part on the exhaust. u can either push air through it, or pull it through, lets get our thinkin caps out.. If your air is exhausted out side u would want it first, because u dont want it to be visible or getting "weathered" on. there aren't in line carbon filters as far as i have seen maybe u can make one im not sure but all the active carbon is on the sides. not the middle.

ps all that hosing isnt neccessary, u could honestly hook ur carbon filter up in the room, secure it nearest to the hole in ur ceiling then route the venting from the filter into the ceiling into your inlinefan then out side, this isnt brain science. Your trying to make this harder then it actually is.

Cheers JackdaWack for actually understanding my point. I'm not 'trying to make it harder than it actually is' though i would simply like to keep my grow room seperate fom all my ducting, if this setup isn't posible then someone should invent an inline passive carbon filter IMO.
So are you saying that the upper section should have a simple hole where the air passes through and into the filter like the diagram attached?
Cheers

well you could do that and add a fan into that upper part. that would work, or u could have the fliter attached to the ceiling inside the room vented directly up, you could buy some straps and screw it in. but the way your thinkin will def work with a fan suckin air up. IMO i would have the filter in the room this way u take out space that is just going to hold heat.
