Did LST--should I greatly increase nutes?

Blue Bear mentioned something on another post about ph fluctuations in flowering due to large nutrient needs. I LST'd these about a week ago and took the nutes up from 900 to 1100 (using Cal Mag, Pro Blooml, LK and Sweet)but this is the first time I have LST'd and did not realize how much they would grow this fast. What ppms are people using for plants approx this size--bagseed---4 weeks in and what kind (if any) ph problems are people having? Thanks!!:blueknife:

I am a num skull so are you for saying you don't use organic nutes, I don't even know why I even had to check,
"Botanicare consists of organic compost solutions, all organic stand alone plant nutrients, bio-organic plant nutrients, bio-stimulant bloom enhancer, calcium,
magnesium nutrient catalyst, salt leaching solution, and organic soilless grow substrates." So in other words it is organic and this is perhaps, most likely your problem with the clogged drippers, I believe I have read about someone else having similar problems with the same thing about a year ago, but I can't guarantee. Another thing people have had problems with the PH when using sweet with the Botanicare PB. I think they make a product called ClearEx that may help with the clogging, but over all I think that it is difficult to use many organic nutes with drippers or aero set ups for the clogging reason.
With many organic nutes you don't have a PH buffer so you have greater fluctuations and that along with using the sweet may be a factor.
I am not sure you need to give me the other info I asked for, personally I think that the problems are a combination of the things I mentioned above. The 3 part GH line is probably the most stable to use IMO in hydro along with advanced nutes but they can cost an arm and a leg. I use some GH products in soil and everything else along with some Botanicare stuff, but not the main nutes.

For Bear: The room temp stays between 68-78 and the temps in the buckets are generally in the high 60's--very low 70's. This holds true however for the vegging stage as well. Nutes at present: Cal Mag to 450ppms, then hydroplex to 700ppms, Pro Bloom too 900, then LK and Sweet to 1100-1150 in RO water (water 70 degrees to start). I change the res once a week, but don't use any flushes or cleansers in between. PH in main res= 5.9 The roots look very nice and white throughout the grow EXCEPT in the dead space between the bottom of the top pot and the water...I'd say dark tan but this has been true during the entire grow also (of course now there are many more roots than then...). Normally I will adjust the ph to about 5.9-6.0 daily and by the next day it will be up to approx 6.4....too high to let it go another day. During my last grow in the middle of summer it seemed that the ppms would rise after a few days...plants drinking more water?...and in this grow the ppms are dropping about 100-200 ppms daily--I am adding small amounts of ferts to the individual buckets every day which is a new one on me. Oh I also add 10ml H202 (3%) every other day all the way through my grows. I know this is controversial but I have had good results from it. Sorry about the long saga but I just love to talk about me and mine....

Yes I do use Sweet....hmm would molassas have the same effect without the "side effects?" I have a set of 3 part GH that came with the waterfarm but it seemed so confusing I went with the one size fits all botanicare...which botanicare products do you use?

thats funny i use the botanicare problend formula's, no wonder we both get clogged drippers and they are organic nutes, not 100% but very close. i adjust my ph daily, maybe 2wice if i have to. U dont need the full nutes tho. per gal of water i ussually use about 15mL. This stuff is very strong, but i get excellent results and sweet tasting buds without the chem taste. When i top off res. with water i used 5mL gal. i personally love this stuff, very easy to use when u dont over fert. Some one mentioned using the soil problend formual because its got more phosphate. In my opinion its very easy to use, when u see ur plants getting alittle burn back off the nutes and u know where u stand. No need to mesure out 3 different solutions.

I am not with my bottles right now, but I think the products I use from them are CalMag Plus, Liquid Karma and Super Thrive, I am not sure about the Super Thrive. All 3 of those are a must have for me though.
I think the molasses may be worth giving a try and also the more your plants eat the more the PH can change. But it is something else to know that you and JW both use the same stuff and have the clogged dripper thinggy. The 3 part can do wonders I tell you, but if you don't want to use up a grow to experiment then just stick to what your doing if you are getting what you want.

if you have any suggestions on 3 part nutes im open ears, i get good results with botanicare but the clogged drippers kill me. calmag plus is already in the problend formula i belive its the source of Ca, and Mg liquid karma can be used with the problend along with silica blast. but use neither. maybe i should?

I have been very happy with these nutes as a rule also--(only ones Ive tried by the way) but like JW I do have to adjust my ph daily, and sometimes twice a day which can make me nuts. Seems like I break something every time I crash through. I wouldn't mind trying the three part but I may put one waterfarm by itself and try one so I don't destroy an entire herd of mj. As for molassas, anyone know what strength to use it at? JW, you're right the clogged drippers are practically a deal breaker. Gracias people!
