    One small question...

i heard unrefined sugar is good.

Corn syrup has been reported to supplement the sugars needed by the plant during cloning, since it consists of plant sugars.

I personally prefer sticking a snickers in the soil and sprinkling a few m+m's around the main stem.

    One small question...

during the flowering phase, your nutrients usually contain molasses, or another form of sugar ... if you are using a good 'Bloom' fertilizer, you should already be set ... I never add sugar, molasses, etc ... for one thing, it will attract insects ... keep it simple ... :smokin:

    One small question...

I use molasses, has to be unsulfured, in bloom.
The available carbon in simple sugars is meant to add bud mass and help the plant produce aromatics (the resins and stuff that gives it its flavor).
Ants and cockroaches love sugar too.
But so far I have had problems with neither.

So does that mean any odd sugar will do? or do you need special stuff???

    One small question...

Any sugar will do as long as it has no additives. I prefer molasses for a couple reasons; it's already in solution, and there's something about molasses- I have no idea what it is specifically- that plants just seems to adore.

And IR... I'm already sweet enough! The sugar just makes the stink stronger!

I'm seriously not kidding, a couple of my friends who take my excess off my hands have been bitching that they need to carry their stash around in glass jars because it stinks up the whole car even double-baggied!

    One small question...

Black Strap molasses is dead on and does help to break down nutes in an enhanced process to help your plant with more efficient nute uptake. As for insects, infact it acts as a deterrent for some, gardeners use it to deter fire ants and other critters.Adieu
