I've always called it a shotgun, but I also thought it was strange to call both this a shotgun as well as when you do that thing with a blunt. I think there should be 2 names

it isnt a shotgun.
The shotgun originated in Vietnam, with one toker blowing smoke through the barrel of his M1200(12 gauge), and another toker recieving smoke out the end of the barrel.
When one takes a joint, put hot end of joint in mouth, real carefully, and then blows on joint to make smoke come out the unlit end.
When one just blows smoke they have already inhaled, the smoke is virtually void of any thc, since the person who took the hit lungs have absorbed thc.

i thought a shotgun was putting the blunt backwards into your mouth and blowing it another person lungs. usually done boy-girl but not necessarily always sexual

virtually none, doesnt mean, none. What it does mean is that once a person inhales pot, and then blows smoke thats been inhaled into the lungs of another, dont expect much....., except, bad breath, last nights chicken, etc etc.
THC is a molecule that once inhaled is rather quickly absorbed into the bloodstream.
But hey, if your into what you are doing, and its working for you, have at it.
