i have seen some how to carbon filter threads but the average cost after the fan is $150+.i am getting ready to build another 10$ carbon filter and was wondering if you would like a how to?it is good for a small cab grow or a drying room.i currently have one in my veg with 18 plants...cant smell a thing unless i put my nose to the plant(then it is quite potent)

materials
fan 4.99 or 5.99 i don't remember:stoned:
fish tank carbon 5.00(ish)
2 liter bottle
24 once beer can
tape(i recomend electrical tape but did this one with automotive hose tape)
scissors

now poke a bunch of holes in the bottle and can.and cut the top off of both.and cut the bottom also off of the bottle...not the can!!
you will need to save the top and bottom to the bottle so don't cut it up real bad.

cut slits in the bottle so you can get it around the fan.
add tape

now cut slits into the top of the can and fold them out.
place top of bottle on can top and mark out where the top of the can hits the bottle.(you may want to cut a little above the top since it is easier to trim more than it is to add to where you cut off to much.
slide can through bottle top so that the flaps of the can are on the outside.
add tape
then slide it down into the bottle(this may take a little effort to do without bending up the can so take your time with it

add the carbon
now you need something to put around the top of the carbon.i used a swiffer cloth
now put the bottom of the bottle back on.i put it on upside down because it gives you more options on how far down you put it.you want it to touch the can
add tape
