harvest and dry and cure need advice

good strong healthy plant 5 weeks into flower anticipating the harvest but not exactly sure when to do it. by the way this is my first grow, ive heard the proper time is when the buds turn half amber, i dont know what strain it is either and as far as drying i think i just hang it upside down in a warm spot for a few days? and cure what is this procedure . i would be grateful of any advice as i dont want to make a balls of the last bit after all my t.l.c by the way i have it under 400w hps and feeding it monsta bud cheers!

Trichomes % amber to harvest...

Hang in 'cool' dark place. Heat and light damage trichomes.

Hang for approx. 1 week until stems are 'snappable'

Then put into jars and 'cure' slowly over a period of weeks, always remembering to open the jars 1-2 times daily to let out the chemical by products and stagnant air.

There are TONS of threads on curing, so you might want to look them up in the search function to get more precise directions. I was too lazy to type everything...since there is a lot and it's already out there.

Good luck finishing up the grow! Have any pics? A log???
