Fruit flies

there was a rotten apple in our trash and it was infested with fruit flies. i threw out the trash yesterday, but these annoying little flies are still floating around. how can i get rid of them?
p.s. the screen in the window is screwed in so the cant escape that way

Go to a dollar store and get a package of 5 or 6 for $1.

There's gotta be at least that much in the couch.

If money's tight, you can use the manual method. CLAP your two hands flat together with a fruit fly in between. Keep clapping till you're free of fruit flies or you've decided they're harmless, whichever comes first.

Yeah fruit flies are a pain to get rid of. Just don't keep any fruits/vegetables around (put them in a fridge) for a little while and kill them as you see them. They'll eventually go away..

to our convenience, they die with smoke... 100% sure.. thick smoke blown directly into them and they drop.

ive tried microwaving them for 5 minutes and they didnt die!!!!!!
