Harsh Smoke

I'm just wondering the stuff I picked up is a little stemmy, good shit never the less. Although my main complaint is that when I do end up burning this in my grav I get a painful hit that I'm not used to experinces. Is there anything that one can say about some weed having a harsher smoke than another strain?

yeah, you didn't pick the stems out of it? lol... other then that no, not really, i've had bud that had a certain harshenss to it, without stems in it, so what you're experiencing isn't unheard of or anything...

Duh of course I did haha I have a collection going, I even grind it up. Maybe its just not that good of stuff I figured.Its just odd because it still smokes very nicely despite raping my throat.

It could be harsh for a number of reasons.

Very resinous strains tend to need extra curing to combat the harshness, it may have not been flushed well enough, or it may have no been cured properly.
