Rubbing alcohol and salt. Plug all but one hole, fill it up, plug the last hole, shake hard and long. Let it set for a few days, pick it up and shake it hard for a few minutes a couple of times a day each day you have it. Unplug it, drain it out, rinse it out. Repeat if necessary.

The trick is to do this every so often before it gets really dirty. That way it comes off easier and faster. Otherwise it can be a bitch.
