18/24 or 12/12 Lighting

Im just wondering when I go from 18/24 to 12/12 light. Its been a few weeks and there a few inches tall. Probably 2 1/2" - 2 3/4" Ive read a few different things, after 8-11 days, and some have said wait about 4 weeks on 18/24 then go to 12/12. Should we go by growth/height or time they've been planted from?

it all depends on how much weed you want to end up with, the bigger your plant is when you start flowering, the more you'll end up with. Starting your plants flowering at less than 3 inches would be pointless. Wait until they are at least 10" tall, plants continue to put on height for about 1/3 of the flowering cycle. If you have the time and space, let em grow tall, crop 'em once or twice, and then go 12/12.
