    Hermi - ONLY PLANT :O

Hey as of today ive only got one plant, i idid have 2 WW's but one turned out to be male (kept all hte leaves for the resin glands). Now ive got one left, which at the top of the plant has loads of pistals coming out of little ones, and at the bottom and on some sideshoots there are flowers with bananas coming out, so im like 90% sure its a hermie.
I want to harvest this so im going to get rid of the male flowers
    -QUESTIONS-
    1) what should i use to remove them, i could use my mums hair dressing scissors, sharp and thin.
    2) where male flowers were is it possible that after removing a female flower could appear there?
    3) I think its only male flowers on the side shoots (still got the main cola!!!) could i prune some of the sideshoots?

i suggest you get the pollen sacs wet before you remove them, that way they wont spread pollen....

    what he said^

i had the same problem, i used a small pair of nail/manicure scissors, small is better, you only want to cut off the male bits, not mutilate the plant, haidressing scissors sound ok.

expect a little bit of seeding in the final product, but it will be minimal, and youll still have a happy ending

if you only got one plant, dont chop off the side shoots, just tackle the male flowers individually....unless the side shoot has a high male to female ratio,
youve found the problem, now its all about damage limitation

    1)yes
2)no, but female flowers nearby may grow over that bit giving the illusion that its growin female flowers, depending on the ammount and density of the female flowers.
3)depends how bad the male/female ratio is on that part of the plant....try not to if theres a good bit of bud growth

Well they look like leaf shoots coming out, not balls on sticks like on the male one (now gone) but if they are still male flowers ill get rid of them. They dominate the sideshoots, the main cola is female thank god. but i havent spotted one female flower on the sideshoots, this is what is making me doubt if its a male flower.
like i sed the bud is about 3-4mm have what look to be shoots coming out (no sticks with balls). At the top of the plant there are buds with pistals coming out.
    cheers the skiing arab

without a pic, its hard to say...you will have to use your instinct, but it sounds bad, you may have to remove those sections....but im no expert with these things, maybe someone else can provide some input

So here it is, what to do?
If it is a hermi do i:
A - Remove the male flowers indiviadually
B - Take off the sideshoots and tackle the odd maleflower on the main stem

i was just on another thread and the flowers without pistels look like this http://boards.cannabis.com/attachmen...7&d=1162872771

However there on the sideshoots as well. Are they just fresh growth?
