For women, doing a good hand job is an acquired skill. As the man, you have to be patient and be a good teacher. Ideally a teacher who has plenty of lube, doesn't criticize, and is willing to overcome any uneasiness you may have about demonstrating your own technique and say, "Here, put your hand over mine and follow along with me as I show you what feels right." Then you can trade hands and put yours over hers. Practice makes perfect!
