if its cracker dry now, at least whatever form of fungal growth occured will almost certainly have stopped now.
If you were talking about any huge amounts, i'd suggest sterilisation with use of a pressure cooker or autoclave (if anyone were to have access to one safely)
I have a 12 liter P.C that i bought for my mycology/mushroom growing. If i were in your position i'd P.C it in doube bagged heat proof oven bags orr microwave steamer bags. (anything with a heat rating over 5. 5 will work, but 6 or above is ideal. (* Interesting point to mushroom growers: next time u have KFC check the heat rating on the bottom of their plastics. They should be a 7 at least :P Anyone thinking PF cake??)
Anyway, i'd think you had some minor trick. I'd just keep it dry now as it is, and not worry too much if theres no visible fungal growth. Afterall, it's an ounce your smoking, not a pound.
