Running out of time, What would you do?

    Hi Peeps,

I’m in a bit of a mess here and not sure what to do. I only have 12 more growing days before I have to leave on business. I recon at least two of the four plants I have still have a week or more to go before there’re ready to chop, the other two still have clear trichomes. This doesn’t leave any time while I’m at home to dry and cure. What would you do? The think my options are

    1) Leave them ALL the full 12 days and then chop and leave for three weeks ( that’s how long I’m away) in a cold grow tent to dry
    2) Leave them ALL the full 12 days and then chop but leave them in the grow tent with a heater and small fan on to dry for three weeks (Maybe to long).
    3) Chop five days before going away and then dry in the tent with heater while I’m at home knowing the at least two of the plant will not be at prime condition (is five days long enough to dry with small heater?)

Having said that I don’t think two of the plant will be prime condition after 12 more days but there’s nothing I can do about that unless I leave them in the tent still growing but I wont be able to water so I fucked there, and if I leave anything growing I wont be able to use the grow tent and heater for drying.

I’m still feeding with bloom and I’ve just introduced some Bio grow to add some nitrogen as the yellowing, I think, is to much to early at this stage, the poor things look quite ill at present.

Anyway, what would you do in the same circumstances? Would you dare leave them in a tent with a heater on for three weeks and go away without worrying about the risk of a fire etc. By the way the heater is a small 1Kw oil filled radiator which should be safe anyway.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

PS I can’t cancel the trip!

Maybe you can get a programmable timer to give more light for another week or so. Water before you go and program the light for a week. Then they will begin drying without water or light. When you get back chop them.

Give them the twelve days and cut them. If you dry it right I believe it is supposed to take about 2 weeks, so an extra week shouldn't hurt it. Not sure about the cool or the hot though.

definately cut them before you leave. if you need them to mature faster just take away some of the hours of light (like 10/14 or 8/16). then chop them the day before you leave, cut the fan leaves and hang them upside down in a cool, dark location with a fan blowing cool air. if you use a heater your plants will turn to shit and heat mixed with moisture and no airflow equals mold.

    Thanks guys.

Right them, I'll cut just before I leave. Should I continue with the ferts for a few more days and then switch to just water about 7 days before the cut, and maybe no water for the last 3?
As for the heat, I will keep a small fan going during the dry but the temp will drop to below 60oC, will this be OK, I thought the damp may set in? One last thing, should I keep the outside extractor going a few hours a day during the dry?
