There are many aspects of Conservative philosophy that I agree with. Unfortunately, the NeoCons-who have had complete control over the House, Senate, Executive, and Supreme Court haven't implimented any of those philosophies with any degree of efficacy.

Fiscal responsibility?-we spend 11 million dollars an hour in Iraq and have accumulated debt our grandchildrens grandchildren will be paying.

Illegal immigration?-let's build a big fence and not fund it because we don't want to step on the toes of rich businesses who are making a fortune off the backs of an illegal work force.

Constitution?-let's stack the Supreme Court with Ultra-Neocons who will tweek the Constitution to say whatever we want it to say.

Federal funding of Social Programs-yeah,that money can be used for better things like pork barrel spending and kickbacks to our corporate buddies who buy our way into power.

There's never going to be any black or white on these issues and it takes two wings to fly. Many liberal ideologies are just as valid as the conservative ones. The best ways to function are going to lie in the shades of gray somewhere in between.
