How soon can you switch to 12/12

I am growing a large sativa strain and i dont want it any bigger than about 4 foot, it is only a couply of inches at the moment and has it`s first set of leaves, 3 days from sprouting, can i bloom it soon ?

ello m8.. you could put your plant into flower now.. but it will only flower when it is mature enough.. switching to 12/12 now will not make your plant flower any earlier.. you will just get slower growth thenm you would on 18/6 then when its mature enough it will flower.. if i was you i would give it at least a few weeks veg.. lst if nessercery .. if you switch to 12/12 now youy will lose a lot of yield

if its a long flowering pure sativa would probably start in a couple of weeks there is no preset time to switch, obviously if you start them flowering before they are mature you will add to the flowering time but you will also be able to keep the plant from getting as big you can even start them from seed on 12/12 if you wanted to, if its a indica/sativa cross with alot shorter flowering period and you just want to keep it under 4 ft would probably veg for atleast 4-6 weeks.

i had a sativa before if you dont have enough space put it into flowering right away those things grow, just drop it now.
