opinion on strains?
I've tried to educate myself on the differences and specialities of particular strains, mostly to find that it's a subject too rich and subjective to ascertain from study alone. I intend to develop preference for strains through experience, but for starters I've narrowed it down to three:
Northern Lights
G13
Great White Shark
I wanted to grow White Widow, but I understand it's a sativa strain, which I don't have room for, unless I'm wrong. Some other specifics:
-I prefer a hybrid cerebral/body effect, with no consideration toward burnout
-I grow under HPS only
-I tried G13 once and was impressed by the strong hashy flavor and smell
-My grow unit is only 3.5' x 18" x 2.5'
-smell is no issue nor is the need to ventilate or be stealthy
Any thoughts on which of those strains are better than the others would be valued, or if the suggestion is that they are all good and it's a matter of preference, which do you prefer and why? Monumental thanks!burnable Reviewed by burnable on . opinion on strains? opinion on strains?
Hi there
Dont get caught up in this while strain debate; sure some weed is wilder and some makes you feel whackier than others but at the days end it all boils down to the company you keep, i.e, you will have a more beneficial and enjoyable time smoking your mates homegrown *no frills strain* than something acquired at great cost and legal risk through a seed bank. Just get onto something *you* like and stick to it. Grow it without the hydro in a pot in good dirt, give it some daily TLC and it will love you back in kind! The best weed ive ever smoked was grown under the big light outside (supplied by Mother Nature). All we knew is that it was weed, didnt have a strain name, didnt care.

I have grown white widow for 3 years and can assure you it takes up no more room than others and is well worth growing, although yield is less than some it is still worth growing

by cerebral/body effect I mean that the high is felt in both the body and by the mind. Indica is a cannabis that grows shorter and yields more of a narcotic high, a body stone that tends to be heavier and drains energy more. Sativa is a taller plant that is native to more tropical regions and produces an energetic, clear, sometimes visual head high. The strains you see spoken of are mostly genetic combinations of the two types.

ps everyone I decided on Northern Lights x Big Bud. If that was out of stock I listed NL x Haze and NL x Afghani

I think White widow is a 60/40 sativa dom plant.
It doesnt yeild alot, but what it does yeild is mind blowing.
My first indoor plant I grew was "Bro's grimm white widow."
I wish I had it now!!!
But the Buzz was terrific,I grew it for years.
Out of the three strains listed I would grow Great white shark, its out of the white widow family, and yeild good, also with a great Buzz.
Northern lights is a good strain, and G13 is also, hell why not get all three?
If I was growing,I would be seeking the "Apollo 13," line.
Its GREAT weed, and the gorilla arm pheno can get heavy yeild.
Peace,
K@

From personal experience, I'd say Northern Lights. I've yet to come across someone bad-mouthing that strain.
