^^ it is very important to say out loud that you do not consent to the search. I had a cop call a k9 to my car when I had a small amount of bud in the car. I said that I did not consent to the search .... The dog walked around the car twice, could not enter ... and then they wrote us a traffic ticket and let us go. in other words, don't break down just because it may SEEM like your back is against the wall. they use a lot of tactics to try to scare you into breaking down or giving yourself up. remember that cops will use fear, knowledge, and intimidation along with lies to get you to forfeit your rights.

Good information to know. I wish I knew that when I was younger. I got busted for possesion when I was 15 (damn, that was 21 years ago! I feel so old ). Anyhow, it was a totally bogus search. If I had known this I never would have consented. But he pulled the same intimidation tricks on me and I caved. All I got was a citation, not even a fine, but it still pisses me off to this day.

I had some shit with me hidden in the car, and I didn't want to be searched. But, if I didn't consent, he would have called in the K9 unit. (I've had this happen many times) I had it [my stash] hidden VERY well, so I consented. Risky? Yes, but better than having the K9 do the searching, right? He searched through nearly everything, but like I said...my shit was well hidden.

"Thank you sir, have a nice day" was the last thing he said to me.

The best thing to do, is to not drive with anything on you. Otherwise you open yourself up to getting caught.

What I do is when I leave my house only carry no more than 7 grams..that's an amount that can easily be pushed into the bottom of my shoe. They'll pat you down and won't search your shoes unless they find something that suggests you may possess something illegal or that could be a threat to the officer. :stoned: That's what I say about it.
