I have a grow journal going in "Hydroponics" "5 strains first grow" anyways I thought I was doing everything correctly but now Im aware I might be feeding to early. I watchd a video and they said when you get 3-5 sets of leaves they are ready for some food. Its a half strength and the seem ok on a 2 time per day.

I was wondering if someone could elaborate on this some.

    Thx

in soil a plant could easily grow for 3 weeks or longer without ever needing nutrients just depends on how much nutrients is in the soil and how long it takes the plant to use them.
in hydro you use nutrients basicly from the start just starting with a very low strength, waiting a month to add nutrients in a hydro setup would result in a bunch of dead plants.

you feed them twice a day??

well i think you should wait till you have 4 sets of true leafs and the 5th is forming. Then start very light nutes.

This is my my grow journal

    http://boards.cannabis.com/showthread.php?t=89797

Ive got idunno 25 prospects coming up and and I decided so far that only 4-5 of them are ready for a drip. Ive got them on a schedual of 2-3 times per 24 hours. I think I screwed alot of them up at the beginning and got fungus on them which stunted thier growth as Zondor talks abot in the FAQ section. So Ive been trying to get them to dry up a bit.

Sets of leaves. Can someone clarify this A set is a pair? thx

Take a look-see at my my pics and let me know.
