    Proper LST'ing

i find the easiest way to tie is to use tape and normal string. I cut a big piece of string loop it around the plant so that it is a "U" with the two ends in your hand. fiddle around and figure out the location you want to string to be tied and tape it down.

benifits - taping is easier than tying. its faster, easier and you would need to create a location to tie onto.
-once a branch has been taped for a while if you want to bend it lower of higher you just pull the string The tape will give way and allow the change in length. But grip back on when you press. so it's easy to modify your ties.
-keeps the string length to what you indended.
i have used the tying method and i found that once i tied the knot i often didn't tie it in the correct place and the plant was bent more or less than what i intended.

-LSTing is super fun and really easy, you can be very creative and it dosn't slow growth much if at all.

well if its in a pot outside then ya can cut holes at the top of the pot and tie to that
and if its in the ground i would say get some camping tent pegs and place them in the ground and tie to them
as for tiying to the plant just wrap it round a branch just not too tight
    cheers all

ok so say you have a plant in the veg state that you have been LST'ing, coudl you keep it in the veg state to let it grow extremely bushy and stocky before flowering? im basically just trying to get an idea to maximize my yield from 1-2 plants

That's exactly what I'm doing now. I have 4 large plants that I'm LST'ing while my white rhino seedlings get big enough to flower. See the pics I posted up top? They are like 2months and a week or 2 now old, gonna be over 3 months old before I flower them.

    .

Same here. Great fun, easy and beneficial.
I also brush down the older, bigger, greaner fan leaves beneath all new growth and up and coming budsites.
It's amazing, I have to do it 4 times a day, each time there's a couple of new budsites yearning to see the sun.

Great info in this thread here...

I'm gonna try some lst'ing on my babies after seeing just how well all these plants are doing with it.
