Im still in need of a little help here guys...2 1/2 foot harvested outdoor plant, wanna change it to indoors, best method? will it produce crop all year? is it ok to change it from an outdoor plant to an indoor one? lighitng system? thanks guys..as i said im new to this and pretty excited.....also the plant was harvested so its just mostly thick stems and trunks, but also there are little buds on some sprouts they appear to have thc on the end nugs what should i do with these? pick them now? or wait thill they get bigger?

Anything that's left, leave it there because even what looks like smokeable nugs has chlorophyll and the plant needs all the photosynthetic capability it can get!
Dig up as much of the surrounding soil as possible. You're going to have a monster root ball and you'll need a big pot for it... 2 1/2 feet is manageable though.
It won't produce a crop all year. You have to put it under 24 hour light to get it to go back into veg node.
Do a search on "re-vegging" and it will tell you everything you need to know.
One word of caution, the stress of digging up, repotting, revegging, plus moving indoors, plus if it was exposed to cold night temps... it is quite likely to die, so you might also consider starting a 'real' indoor grow.

it was already dug up for me and given to me as a present in a large pot.....in some of the reminant foliage are 5 point leaves..is this a male??

The five point leaves means nothing. Like does five fingers make you a male or female? You already said the plant has buds on it. Once you reveg you can remove those bud and smoke about a month from now. Anyway, once you learn to keep it a live then you'll clone for life.

P.S. That means reading for life. If your not interested then trash it today your dealer will still love you.
