Generally they can get down into the 50's, but ideally you want them to be in the 60's when lights are out. The oil filled radiator type heaters work fairly well. If you get frost in the shed, then you will get damaged plants.

Does anyone have any recomendations on a step by step grow guide or dvd or better still something off the internet that they swear by for growing.
