I ate dinner last week with Ill Nino, most people wont know this band, but they are famous to me. And I talked to Tom Cruise a couple minutes when he was shooting MI:3 here in VA. The bridge scene is the Chespeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. As for knowing people, im very familiar with DMP, a few local rappers that made it big. But they are gone living the life now.
