    amature needs a little help

I recently aquired a 2 and 1/2 foot tall plant with a base stem diameter of 3 inches. it was grown outside until recently cause of the weather change. it was harvested about a month ago. there a little nugs at the tops of some sprouts of the stalks that have been cut.it is being kept moist and in sunlight in a large pot. i have some questions.
    1. will it constantly regenerate if i grow it with lights indoors, or do i have to wait months?
    2. if it can be produce nugs all year how should i go about this?
    any help will be appreciated

    thanks
