Question about lower wattage Metal Halide (PICS)
Your plants will love it man. Every bit of light helps, and 70 watts of HID light is more lumens than 70 watts of fluorescents. Only thing is it will raise the temps. Nice job on not burning something down re-wiring it though lol. Let us know how it works out.

Question about lower wattage Metal Halide (PICS) I was able to convince the matenance guy in my apartment complex to let me get a used metal halide ballast and a brand new 70 watt 150M bulb, I was able to rewire the ballast with a vacume cleaner cord i have no experiance with electricity and i was still able to do it, i know this is a very low wattage but my queation is, when coupled with my 4 foot daylight floros how much of a boost will this give my plants, will the 70 watts of metal halide give the plants a little better boost than just Rating: 5Originally Posted by lizard_king
