I think soft yarn is good, or those stretchy plastic ribbons that florists use... you should avoid strangling your plant with something that won't 'give' as it grows thicker.

I only LST plants once I determine that they will become mothers. I make a little collar with a tab with duct tape around the stem, punch a hole in the duct tape, and tie things to that- I've been using mini bungee cords recently because they already have hooks one the ends and are [durrr] nice and stretchy. I just don't want to run the risk of damaging the stem and possibly letting disease into the plant.

Let me know if they look right, if I should keep bending them down as the days go by. I'm hoping new shoots will begin emerging soon now that they being LST'ed. Before everyone goes and criticizes me about my lack of lighting I have to first say, I'm really poor, I cannot afford expensive lighting. I have 4 CFL's on them now and someone suggested I get 4 more ASAP. So I'm Rating: 5
