LSTing - Please Look, need suggestions
One of the things I like about this hobby, is that there is not only one way to do things... you can do things many, many ways.
Experimentation, and having fun is the key.
So WTF if one doesn't get 5 pounds in the 1st grow... fuck it.
Learning experience... that's the best!
So far, I see your LST cool.
I see you're using "twine" or some sort of string.
That's fine.
In my experience, something called (I think) 'garden wire' works much easier. Not better, just, easier to handle.
Garden wire is like those little wires you use to close trash bags... but they're covered in a green plastic sheath. You can bend them into shape, and they work really good for LSTing.
Also, I see that you're passing the string/twine under the pot (I think)... it's easier if you punch your pot on top with a nail or something... then you've got holes on the top rim of the pot to tie your string and/or garden wire down. That's easier than having to run the wire downstairs and everything. (( Props to Zandor for this idea... ))
RE::: Lights
Look man, the more lights the merrier. It isn't like you will not be successful. Your plants will grow with the present lights... heck, they'll grow with less lights. But again, the more lights, the better. Simple as that.
WalMart sells these CFL bulbs... they consume 42Watts, but they're comparable to 150Watts. That's a neat bulb to have. I think they cost like $12 each or something.
Also, you can do your own wiring... really simple. So, if you can get old lamps somewhere, that you can take the sockets and cables out, that'd be great. Then, you have more sockets!

Do you have a fan in there?
Airflow is good.

Do your pots have holes @ the bottom?
You don't want to drown your plants.

RE: LSTing (again)
I see that the base of your plant isn't tied down.
Remember this is a weed, so it *will* grow regardless, but, IMO, you should tie down the base of your plant to the other side.
I always imagined that, if you have the plant bent down like that, the roots are getting stressed because, well, the plant is slanted.
But if you hold the base semi-upright, then you can continue to tie down the plant further and further and it won't look that wierd.
(( again, these are suggestions... the aren't "do or die" things.))

Well, that's it for now.
I realize this post is... kind of... a disaster regarding the arrangement of words, but it's reeeally early in the morning.
Hope you do good Hairy dude named Bob that Loves the Mob,

PS: Don't let anyone discourage you! I'm *sure* that the first person that put a screen over a plant got flamed to Jupiter's Hell and back... but if it were not for experimentation, where would we be?!
PSS: Reading the other thread you provided, I see this:::

I mean, be sad now for a little while... versus being super bummed out 2 months down the road. ???
Any advice that the Image Reaper "rips" out (() is good advice.
