I find it a sign of the times and a puzzle as to why more people are for cannabis legalization than there are people against violent offenders moving to open prisons.
Only 4 bothered to speak out against thugs being kept in soft conditions ????
    WTF ? :S4:
We have to stop treating violent offenders like they are the victims and start making prison something people fear not a fuckin' holiday camp.

Marches can serve an important purpose. They can bring publicity to a cause. They can be organised in parallel with other activities or by a specific group for that task, it's not like they take all year.

The fliers are a better idea. Let's not vandalize; that's negative attention, not positive attention.

    Another good idea:

Sidewalk chalk. It's completely legal because it's non-permanent (in most cities... you might need to check). You can get a stencil and there is a way to spray-chalk... not sure how to make it but we could figure it out between now and then.

And for God's sake, write letters to your politicians. Please. And your local newspapers.

seriously so from what i have gathered the lib dems are like proper up for our cause right?

so if thats so than why arnt we doing more to support them, seriously i just need someone like elsie haze to confirm this for me:

if liberal democrats get elected than they will make it legal to grow at home within a year???

if the above is confirmed by someone here (eg: elsie) than i am going out right now to campaign for them and know of many other poeple who will follow.

    High everyone,

back from holland, (and what a great time we had to) my brain is overloaded with ideas, i wish and hope some of you may agree so we can get something moving.

first let me ask you a question, how many people do you know that visit holland that disagree with the coffeeshops?

    so heres my idea.

when me, colin and os went to the thc4ms trial, we were talking about ways of getting more tokers involved in the campaign, we talked of badges that perhaps didnt have a cannabis leaf on, but was instantly recognisable to others as a sign that you support legalisation, (getting back to the fact loadsa stoners are too paranoid to go on a march, or attend a cannabis event for fear of repercussion, and website growers who would also not go public but would grow private, also people in jobs that may risk job loss for suporting cannabis)

so, how about we get a badge made, perhaps extend it later to tiepins, cuff links and miniture ennamel badges?

a badge that says something like

i wish i lived in holland

    or

    i love the dutch laws

    or

    dutch coffeeshops are great

or something similar a slogan rhyming slang whatever.

the badge could have a clog on it/tulip/windmill/cheese.

we could then contact every coffeeshop and ask them to buy a tub of badges to put on the dealers booth, and send them leaflets to give to british citizens.

we could make a new leaflet, called...

so youv'e been to holland, what next?

or we could get a postcard made that could be sent to the government, pre printed, with something like.

dear prime minister, house of lords, home office,

i am currently holidaying in holland, having the freedom to smoke cannabis in coffeeshops is something i would like too see in the uk within the next 12 months, i am sure the Dutch government can help you with this.

    or something?

imagine if half the users of a dutch coffeshop came back with a badge or sent a postcard, or joined the lca?

if there is something i realised in holland, everyone wants britain to do the same, and i even met coffeeshop workers who had heard of chris and colins shops and thought we were well on the way, i think it is possible, but we need to target the hundreds of british cannabis users who leave our shores or fly out eveyday from the country to visit holland, maybe we could get a campaign stall in schipol airport, all i do know is this is the best idea i can come up with to gain us lots of support quickly.

maybe we could get people local to airports to check local departures days/times to holland and leaflet those waiting to check in, or even be a welcome home reprasenatitve at a few flights, when the people come through arrivals you could hand out leaflets to those getting off a dutch flight.

everyone on my evening flight from coventry spent the whole 45 minutes talking about getting a smoke, who had bought a grinder etc etc, it was like toker transport to everyones favourite destination.

either i am still stoned, or i am getting close to hitting on a route to sucess?

    anyone

my only problem with big political parties is they may say they will legalise it, but will they,, and do they have the power once they get the votes?

its a tough call but i'll see what they can PROMISE the canna community.
